Originally from St. John’s, NL, the band Signal Hill has been a beloved part of the East Coast music scene ever since they began in the early ’90s.

After performing extensively throughout Canada and the United States and recording six previous albums, they were ready to release ‘Making Waves – Volume II’—the highly anticipated follow-up to their previous album, ‘Making Waves’.

As the band’s namesake is the world-renowned landmark towering over the oldest city in North America, the idea of realistically carving the four band members into the side of Signal Hill (à la Mount Rushmore) was a natural cover concept we couldn’t resist.

The final album’s transparent ocean-blue vinyl, featuring a dozen Celtic fan favourites, is tucked inside an instantly iconic cover sleeve that folds open to reveal a large centre spread of the band performing in front of a packed audience at St. John’s George Street Festival.

The overall package achieves the band’s dual goals of making waves within their established fan base, while also providing an attractive entry point for new listeners.
