A major East Coast mining operation was requesting proposals for a multimillion-dollar oil supply contract.
Esso Atlantic Canada’s communications department was tied up with other projects, leaving the regional sales team little time to make its case.
CHALLENGE
How do you turn generic copy, hundreds of photographs and a mass of information into a succinct, convincing sales tool under a tight deadline?
The brief was straightforward: ‘Please just make it look the best you can under the circumstances.’
SOLUTION
We distilled the material into a focused eight-page capabilities brochure, selecting and organizing the information and creating new, complementary imagery to present Esso’s capabilities as clearly and persuasively as possible.
Rather than letting the volume of material overwhelm the message, we gave the sales team a concise tool built around what the prospective customer needed to see.
RESULT
The finished brochure was met with surprise and praise throughout the company.
More importantly, Esso won the contract.
We turned a mountain of information into a focused sales tool that helped win a multimillion-dollar contract.
